2. Achieve the Core
Research and resources for how the Common Core was developed and resources for digging into the standards. Achieve provides professional development modules and resources for learning about CCSS for both ELA and Math.

The National Common Core Standards and resources. Find the standards by grade level or by domain. These are the national standards that each state adopted and was able to add an additional 15%.

Blog by one of the author's of the math standards, Bill McCallum

4b. I Support the Common Core  (Bill McCullum’s website/blog.)
This website provides support and resources for supporting Common Core.

5. University of Arizona CCSS Resources (Institute for Mathematics and Education)
Math Progressions Documents – The information provided by these documents was foundational in creating the CCSS Math, along with International research and standards/curriculum from other countries. These documents describe the mathematical learning progression for students by domain and grade span. Although they are incredibly dense documents, they are a must read for any teacher teaching mathematics K-12.

6. National Council Teaching of Mathematics’ (NCTM):

The site includes materials as well as links to information and resources that the organizations of the coalition are providing to the public and the education community about the CCSSM.

1. Math Coaching Consortium (MCC) hosted by West Contra Costa Unified  [#]
MDC/MCC has lessons, and resources organized by grade level. MDC/MCC provide teachers resources for teaching concepts using multiple methods. Teaching mathematics using concrete, semi-concrete, traditional algorithms and non-traditional algorithms can enhance a student’s depth of knowledge of a concept. There are resources for K-12 math instruction. Check out the Common Core section with sample assessment items ready to use in your classroom.
The website is updated regularly with new lessons, resources and Common Core sample assessment items.

2. Dan Meyer Blog and Teaching Resources for Mathematics [#]
Dan Meyer has a series of videos that illustrate a mathematical concept and introduces a topic. His “Three-Act Problems”  are engaging and connect mathematics to real-life.

Click here for the spreadsheet of all the “Three-Act Problems” that includes title, grade leve, math standards and SMPs.

3. Inside the Mathematics (MARS Tasks) [#, @]
This site features classroom examples of innovative teaching methods and insights into student learning, tools for mathematics instruction that teachers can use immediately, and video tours of the ideas and materials on the site.

Explore this site to learn more about the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice and how they can be connected to the content standards. Use the Illustrations, centered on student dialogues, to see the Mathematical Practices (MPs) in action.

7. Broker of Expertise [#, %, @]
California’s website for professional development modules, as well as a list of websites that provide resources for implementing the CCSS in both ELA and Math. Use the search tool in the website to find resources by grade level, content area, or purpose.

A list of instructional strategies in the categories of: Monitoring Progress, Compare & Contrast, Form Groups, Get Moving!, Work Together, Adapt Content, Share Ideas & Opinions, Take Notes. Details on how to use each strategy are available.

9. National Security Association
NSA provide units and lessons for mathematics. Units are organized by elementary, middle school, and high school.

Videos

The Hunt Institute produces videos, of various length, that describe the Common Core standards for both ELA/Writing & Math (great info in small bites!)

Informational videos on Common Core, as well as sample videos of teacher's  teaching "the Common Core" standards
