California's Common Core State Standards

To view the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM), click here.

The CCSSM describe the learning expectations for students in mathematics at each grade level. The standards are not the curriculum. A variety of instructional practices, lessons, and activities can be used to support students in meeting and exceeding the standards for their grade-level.

National PTA

The National PTA has created 2-page and 4-page documents for each grade level that describe the Common Core Standards for ELA and Math.

The guides include:
  • Key items children should be learning in English language arts and mathematics in each grade, once Common Core Standards are fully implemented.
  • Activities that parents can do at home to support their child's learning.
  • Methods for helping parents build stronger relationships with their child's teacher.
  • Tips for planning for college and career (high school only).
